Career Launcher is the biggest coaching center??
Career Launcher has launched an advertising campaign for the 2007 mock CAT and it shows 40,000+ ‘ll be appearing the exam. How credible is the information. If it’s true, then one out of every 5 CAT takers is appearing CL mocks and that’s huge number. I had always thought that IMS is the biggest MBA coaching center in India and the number of students appearing simCAT (IMS all India mock name) in any year is more than the rest.

No I don’t think the above information is correct In fact I would be surprised to know if more than 20,000 students had appeared any of the previous CL all India mock tests (including the free one). No one can provide you the exact correct data but from my experience I can give you a rough estimation. The open IMS SIM CAT was a big success and the number of students who had appeared it last year should be more than 60,000. On an average the number of students who had appeared 1-2 IMS SIMCAT last year is: 35,000-45,000 /test TIME AIMCAT : 23,000-30,000 /test CL Mock CAT: 15,000-20,000 /test PT : 12,000 – 15,000 /test CF: 8,000 – 10,000 /test Erudite: less than 5000 /test Given an option my preference would be ALL TIME AIMCAT & CL Mock CAT + 2 SIM CATs If still you get some time than go for others If you have joined CF/PT/Erudite/etc then you should appear few mocks either from TIME/CL and 2 simCATs should be must.
